1. Not all jobs are advertised online. The back door exists. If you focus only on online applications, you leave many opportunities on the table.
2. Most companies don't know they need someone until the right candidate with the right skills shows up. Forget online ads and network with recruiters. It might be your lucky day,
3. It will be too hard for employers to ignore you when you become so good at your work. Invest in your skills daily and get really good
4. Companies will fight to have you back once they realise a competitor is on your tail. Many companies won't appreciate you enough until they are about to lose you.
5. Your career evangelists are your greatest career asset. These people will do what they can to help your career. Keep them engaged in your career journey.
6 Most successful career professionals succeed because they help others. The more value you create and add to others, the more opportunities will come your way. Go out and help others.
7. Don't follow the generic career advice you read online. Some will hurt your career. Beware.
8 Don't be average by only meeting minimum requirements in your work. Do over. It will help you build your skills faster and boost your career capital - Jon Acuff
